Graduate in Enology in the University of the Vine and Wine of Madrid.
Afterwards Master of Viticulture, Enology and Marketing of the Wine.
I started my professional experience as Technician of Laboratory at Bodegas Torrique in 2000 and then in several wineries in La Mancha, Ribera del Duero and Rioja regions until 2005 when the group DO5 Hispanobodegas was founded. The same year I took in charge the Technical Direction of Bodegas Garci Grande in Rueda region which belonged to the same group.
In May 2009 I started to work in BORNOS Bodegas & Viñedos as the Technical Director of Palacio de Bornos and Dominio de Bornos.
The white wines of Rueda are wines made with aromatic grape varieties of great personality like Verdejo and Sauvignon Blanc.
The main grape variety, the Verdejo, which is for me one of the best white grapes, is characterized by its aroma and flavour, with hints of dry scrubland herbs, fruity notes and an excellent acidity, acquired mainly on the stony soils where this variety is cultivated. The climate is also important, characterized by a high temperature variation between the day and the night, which is the secret for a good balance during the ripeness. Finally the good care of the winemaking will respect and accentuate the personality of the grape.
All this makes a wine with a great complexity of aromas, good volume on the palate and a touch of bitter on the final with a great fruity expression.
All those characteristics make this wine the perfect drink for unforgettable moments.
