Wine Description

100% Tempranillo red wine made from a selection of the best grapes from more than 50 years old vines, 18 to 20 months in the finest French oak barrels ensure this wine´s complexity giving it the true expression of the Ribera del Duero.

Grapes are hand-picked in 10kg boxes, cooled down to 4ºC in a refrigerated room and undergo a seven-day cold pre-fermentative maceration at 10ºC.

Plot by plot vinification in thermoregulated stainless steel tanks for a month.

Smooth extraction with regular punch down and pump – over maceration techniques.

Malolactic fermentation in oak barrels.

    Tasting Notes

    Dark ruby core and a purple hue. Youthful nose offering some balsamic notes, cherry liqueur, and herbs with some wood and dry spices. Dense palate, still youthful with a rather high extraction and present wood flavors. Sweet dark fruit, high ripeness and rather long finish.

    Soil Composition: Plots with clay soil and river pebbles in the lower vineyards while the rest are located at 900 m.a.s.l. or above in a plateau with a limestone layered soil.
