Wine Description

Wine made with Tempranillo (coming from vines over 80 years old, with yields between 1.500 and 2.000 kilograms/hectaria)) and Merlot grapes varieties.The grapes placed at over 900 m above sea level. The grapes are harvested by hand when each individual plot has reached optimum ripeness. The grape is placed in cement vats. After the process of fermentation, the wine ages 15 months in American and French oak barrels.

The vintage was rated as "EXCELLENT"

Tasting Notes

Coloru red cherry of high layer and with edges purple. Clean and bright. Medium-full body. Intense and elegant on nose with well-defined aromas of ripe fruit (cherry, figs and apricot) and well integrated noble wood. Vanilla appears with coffee, liquorice and tobacco. Great structure on the palate, meaty, expreessive and full, with sweet tannins well integrated. In the mouth it is fleschy, powerful and elegant with a long finish.

Vineyard Size: Owns 33 hectares and its viticulture department controls an additional 50 hectares
Soil Composition: clay and chalky
Training Method: Winter pruning. The remains of pruning are crushed andthey are incorporated into the ground. Green pruning and crop thinning. 2 passes with cultivador to eliminate the weeds. Herbicide treatment (space between vine to vine). 3 fungicide treatment for oidium, 2 for mildew and 1 for moths and mites.
