Located in the town of Pesquera in the Valladolid district, Emilio Moro is a family-owned winery with over 120 years of winemaking history in Ribera del Duero. The family owns 250 hectars of vineyards located in several parcels in Pesquera del Duero. The average age of the vines is 25 to 30 years, and the vineyards are located at high altitude -1,950 feet - on the banks of the Duero River. The first vineyards were planted in 1932 in the year of the founder, Emilio Moro's birth and the winery works with a pure clone of the Tinto Fino transplanted from their earliest vines. Soils are clay with gravel and chalk, and the area is endowed with the harsh, continental climate that defines the unique character of Ribera wines.
At Familia Martinez Bujanda we were looking for exceptional vineyards in the finest white wine producing regions in Spain. In April 2008 we found Finca Montepedroso in Castilla-León. Our vineyard in Rueda consists of 25 hectares at 750 meters above the sea level with a brand new state-of-the-art winery that produces two wines from this single vineyard. FINCA MONTEPEDROSO, 100% VERDEJO, exclusively elaborated with estate grown Verdejo grapes and aged 5 months on the lees. Finca Montepedroso is a fresh and intense wine with the best characteristics of the Verdejo variety, with the tradition typical of the area. And MONTEPEDROSO ENOTECA another step forward in our drive to make Rueda whites with cellaring potential: with no oak, this is an accurate reflection of how well our wines evolve over time. This wine illustrates respect for the terroir, the environs and is an indication of the little-known potential for authenticity in Rueda. Montepedroso Enoteca spends 18 months on lees in concrete eggs and
subsequently undergoes 1 year bottle-ageing. This is a much more deep and mineral wine with fresh fruit in the background and smoky hints, limestone and incense in the foreground. Denser on the palate, without losing structure and freshness.
The winery represents a contemporary project, made of concrete, glass & brick; classic materials of Rueda, and it is perfectly integrated with the countryside, and respects the environment by using the sun’s energy and recovering the rainfall.
This wine cellar, a pioneer in Ribera del Duero, began activities in 1980, when three brothers, Benjamín, Manuel and Adolfo Pérez Pascuas, convinced of the excellent potential that lay in the vineyards owned by their father, Mauro, decided to initiate an ambitious project: to make one of the best wines in Spain and to carve a niche for it in the international marketplace.This is a family cellar which has focused on quality from its very beginnings, with much hard work and intense dedication. Currently, 500,000 bottles are produced yearly and this limited production allows for strict controls of the whole wine making process from its very beginning.

Through BODEGAS DE ALBERTO subterranean cellars and the large brick barrel vaults, which cover the subsoil of Serrada in more than a kilometer in length, we discover the inhabited memory of the winery, kept alive uninterruptedly for more than three centuries and in a last period, from 1941, looked after as an invaluable cultural treasure by BODEGAS DE ALBERTO, family winery already in its fifth generation.
A walk through the underground cellars gives the visitor the pleasant sensation of entering another historical epoch, discovering the secrets of the space through its underground streets, which give way to bottle bedrooms, galeries for wine aging barrels and old concrete tanks made many years ago, before they began to be widely used.
Nevertheless, the soul of this traditional wine legacy preservation is the spaces dedicated to aged traditional wines production, like the winery most special wine: De Alberto Dorado. These wines with oxidative aging have characterized the production of Serrada wine for years and Bodegas De Alberto have maintained their production until now, elevating this wine to the highest category of recognition through De Alberto Dorado, awarded with the Great Medal of Gold in the prestigious Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, with 95 Points of the Peñín Guide in 2017 and with 91 points in Wine Advocate, among many other distinctions in recent years
De Alberto Dorado wine is a tribute to the historic wines of Castilla y León, the old ones that were considered, right in this land, the 'wine of the court of the Catholic Monarchs' and which was Rueda Appellation of Origin germ. BODEGAS DE ALBERTO have kept this wine alive for years, maintaining its same method of aging in demijohns and soleras for more than 70 years.
The human component has been a decisive factor in this story. From the work of the Dominican monks, more than three hundred and fifty years ago, with the excavation of the cellars, the meticulous care in the harvest of the grapes and the transformation of the musts, until the witness taken by the later generations. BODEGAS DE ALBERTO transmits today that human imprint that is personalized in generations of winemakers, distributors, employees and, especially, in the thousands of consumers distributed in the five continents that show their loyalty to this winery decade after decade.

Javier Sanz Viticultor is a winery in the heart of the Valladolid province in the town of La Seca and specialises in the creation of quality, signature wines.
Its aim is to offer unique, personal wines using painstaking work methods both in the field and the wine-making process. This involves recovering nearly extinct varieties, taking good care of the old vineyards to preserve the origins of the winery and carrying out selected production processes.
Our wine culture is made up of five generations of winemakers who, for almost two centuries, have continued the wine tradition.
