3Ases is a winery in the heart of the Ribera de Duero region that’s committed to quality, hard work and passion. Our limited production means that all processes are controlled down to the very last detail from the vineyard to the bottle, harvesting the grapes by hand which are transported in boxes and then fermented under controlled conditions using
only local yeasts, ensuring the wines are truly expressive of their region. This is the project of César Arranz, Ángel Rodríguez and Rubén San Miguel: 3friends, 3partners and 3Ases who, since 2007, have been dedicated to this enterprise: “a small but great company” in one of Spain’s most famous wine-producing regions.
The AALTO project was founded in February 1999 in the prestigious winemaking region of Ribera del Duero (Spain).
The foundational aim of Mariano García (who had been Vega Sicilia's winemaking director for 30 years) and Javier Zaccagnini (6 years head of Ribera del Duero's Consejo Regulador) was to make a wine that shows a different personality, of high quality and being a faithful reflection of distinct locations, blending them at the end of the aging process to obtain balance and complexity.
Álvarez y Díez was founded in 1941 and was one of the founders of the D.O. Rueda. We are mainly focused in white wines using the indigenous grape verdejo but also sauvignon blanc and viura
Arbas is a family winery located in Piñel de Arriba Valladolid. Our philosophy is to produce quality wines and wines with personality. Jesus Arbas and Mayte have managed to permeate under the cellar, wine and facilities of other great passion: dance. It is not easy to relate these fields, but they have succeeded. Visitors are surprised that after wine tasting they can enjoy a visit to the dance Viñas inside the warehouse. A small stage that coexists with the bedroom of bottles, oak barrels and tasting room puts them on notice. The posters that decorate the room, alluding to teachers of Spanish dance, create a climate which explains the basis of the Rond de Jambe wine.
The company was founded in 1950 by Avelino Vegas in Santiuste de San Juan Bautista, in the province of Segovia. He started producing wines with grapes from vineyards in the area, especially Verdejo. The creation of the Rueda appellation in 1982 was the acknowledgement of the quality of white wines from the region. In 1993, the family expanded into Ribera del Duero. They now produce young wines with exceptional quality-price ratio, including and superb Crianzas and Reservas thanks to the important investment of more than 4000 new French and American oak barrels. The family project has been completed with the creation in 2017 ( same year as the 100 Anniversary of its founder Mr Avelino Vegas) of a new winery in the best area from Ribera del Duero for the elaboration of premium wines, where his grand daughter, Cristina Vegas, is the oenologist.
BODEGAS EL INICIO is a small winery yet is brimming with technology and the knowledge necessary to elaborate and age great wines.
The winery it is situated in a historic site with no possibility of amplification. It was in the past a typical Castilian winery where wine was sold freely in cantaras (old fashioned 16 litres bottles). Some quality wine was bottled without the Ribera del Duero label as this did not yet exist. Local products were also sold here such as pastries and pulses which were popular with the many visitors who were attracted to this emblematic Castilian village.
After remaining closed for more than 5 years, in 2013 the beginning of a dream formed which we can now demonstrate as real today. It was a dream shared by 3 professional (2 of whom live in Peñafiel), a dream with one clear goal: to elaborate high quality wines , wines destined for barrel aging , wines without hurry, elegant and full of flavor.
Wines which in their days gave their name to the Denomination of Origin, which our Director and associate Angel Luis Margüello helped to develop with care and personality back in the 80´s and 90´s .These types of wines, which under his experience, have been the true icons of the area and which are now enjoying a comeback. The wine´s potency falls back to make way for elegance, roughness turns to smoothness, elegant tannins form from aggressive tannins and peace evolves from chaos .
Félix Callejo was born in June 1943 at Sotillo de la Ribera. His family had a long tradition of working in the wine world. Both his grandfather, Faustino, and his father, Felix, owned vineyards and were also “corredores de vino”, or local wine brokers, who acted as agents to find buyers for batches of wine produced by growers in Sotillo.
The Callejo family winery has now passed into the hands of the second generation, and is growing in new and exciting directions under the leadership of the four Callejo siblings. José Félix and Noelia Callejo handle wine production, while Cristina and Beatriz Callejo run the commercial aspects of the business.
José Félix Callejo trained at the hihgly esteemed Pétrus winery, Pomerol, France, and at the Miguel Torres winery of Curicó, Chile. Since 2000 he has been lead winemaker of Bodegas Félix Callejo. Since 2009, José Félix has been supported by Noelia Callejo. Noelia has trained at Argentina's Viña Cobos winery and at Araujo Estate Wines in Napa Valley, California.
Callejo wines derive their caracter from Sotillo de la Ribera, located to the north of the Duero river. We work with our owned 60 hectares of Tempranillo wineyards, distributed in 25 plots exhibiting a diverse profile of soils thanks to our position ~900 m above sea level. We use ecological management techniques, preserving the caracter of our terrain, which allows us to reliably create wines that authentically express the full flavor of the land.

The winery is located in the town of Villalba de Duero, Ribera del Duero region, in the province of Burgos.
The name of the BELA winery arises in honor of one of the three children of the CVNE Co-founder, Sofía, who was known as Bela.
We cultivate 81 hectares of vineyards planted mostly on trellises, in two towns: Villalba de Duero and Moradillo de Roa.
- Our Villalba de Duero vineyards were planted in 2002, with an altitude of 800m. Sandy loam with a continental climate.
- Our Moradillo de Roa vineyards are over 20 years old. They are found at an altitude of 1,000m. Stony soils with a continental climate.
All Bella wines are aged in French and American oak barrels.
Beronia Rueda is the expression of Verdejo. Equipped with the latest technology and state-of-the-art facilities, the Beronia Rueda winery is located in the heart of Rueda and boasts a combination of the finest materials for fermentation and innovative techniques to create unique complex wines.
The two vineyard estates Finca La Perdiz and Finca El Torrejon, where the Verdejo grapes are cultivated for Beronia Rueda make up 65 hectares of owned vineyard, both with distinctive characteristics designed to enhance the unique Beronia Rueda style; Finca La Perdiz in the northern part of the D.O. where the sandy soil produces grapes that add complexity, and Finca El Torrejón in the south of the D.O. where grapes grow on clay and chalk soil adding rich aromas to the wine.
Located in the heart of Rueda, it accounts for about 18% of the production in the Designation of Origin. The members own more than 2,500 hectares of vineyard. Since the foundation in 1935, it has been a pioneer adapting the new trends in viticulture and winemaking. The fundamental pillars of the winery are wine and social sustainability, taking particular attention to the environment and living conditions of its members and employees. Our wines, made mainly from the Verdejo grape varietal, lead white wine consumption in Spain. Our wines also have a large influence in foreign markets, with a presence in over 60 countries.
The year 2000 was a special time for Bodegas Familiares Matarromera. Bodegas Familiares Matarromera includes the Renacimiento Winery, located in Olivares de Duero (Valladolid) and belonging to the Ribera del Duero Denomination of Origin. A noble house from the 16th century, it began as the house of the Marquis of Olivares and later became the workhouse of the Jesuits until their expulsion in the 18th century. At that time the Moro family took charge of it and decided to restore the buildings and the winery in order to create a wine of the highest quality in keeping with the history and the time.
Bodega San Mames is one of the oldest Ribera del Duero Designation of Origin wineries in the world. Our winery was founded in 1964 by the parents and grandparents of our current generation of wine-growers. 2014, therefore, marked our 50th anniversary.
In an effort to keep up with the times, we use cutting-edge equipment and we have also installed a new barrel room which is replaced every five years. However, our winery has lost none of its original character. The concrete tanks which were built way back in 1964 remain in use today.
Sarmentero is placed in a castilian house backyard in the tiny town of Quintanilla de Arriba, Valladolid.The property was acquired in 1942. Until that year, the house was part of the three miller houses of the town. From 1942 the house was dedicated to the production of tiles, cattle breeding and wheat and barley growing together with wine production for personal use.Generations of vine growers gave us the knowledge and discipline, love and passion our wine should have to show its best nuances.
Our wines are fermented with its natural yeasts and bacteria and are a low intervention style of wines.
Our winery was created in 1997 by 3 friends born in Peñafiel. One of them was a winelover who worked for years with several wineries. Friends and family both are now part of this adventure.
The cellar is situated in “the Golden Mile” of DO Ribera del Duero, in a small village called Peñafiel. The special soils (limestone with a deep layer of clay), that were the channel of the Duero river thousands of years ago, are taken as an advantage by our vineyards to produce grapes with the aromas and the typical flavours of the grape Tinta del País (known as well as Tempranillo).
We produce two brands: CARRAMIMBRE and TORRE PINGON. The name of our wines and cellar: CARRAMIMBRE comes from one of our estates, which is situated down the hill, where the castle of the village still stays with vines older than 50 years old; and PINGON is the name of the estate where the cellar was built, and where our youngest vines are planted (22 years old).
The care of our own vines, planted in slopes faced to the south, is controlled by Goyo Navarro and German Medrano (oenologists) and six of us with full dedication to these vineyard tasks. The low yield per hectare due to the crop thinning, green pruning and harvest by hand, allow us to get the character of our autochthonous Tinta del País and enough concentration to let the wines sleep in American and French oak barrels for long time, maintaining the fruity aromas still alive. You can recognize the different styles of wine by the golden rings in our logo (the bottom of three barrels).
We have a wide portfolio of wines: four elegant wines from DO Ribera del Duero (Oak, Crianza, Reserva and Limited Release) and one Rueda wine (100% Verdejo). Some of our red wines are made from Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon, which give us a difference with other wines from DO Ribera del Duero.
Since CARRAMIMBRE wines were born, the quality has been increased vintage by vintage and have received several awards in Spain and abroad to certify day by day the quality of our wines.
The winery Castillejo de Robledo was a pioneer in the production of quality wines within the Ribera del Duero Soria province. It was created in 1998 when 17 vine growers from Castillejo de Robledo, built the winery and planted vineyards throughout the area of the Cid plots. The winery is a joint effort among these growers to bring consumers a quality product and made with care and dedication. The vineyards owned by these growers are located on a gentle slope at 980 meters above sea level.
The main objectives of Castillejo de Robledo are:
1. Careful vineyard management.
2. Vinification of high-end wine.
3. Positioning of the Silentium brand.
High Altitude Vineyards
One unique characteristic of the estate is its high altitude at 3,200 ft. above sea level. The harvest is made by hand in October. Probably by the end of the harvest season in Ribera del Duero.
Bodegas Castillejo de Robledo’s annual production is of 75 thousand cases of 9 liters each.

Sus orígenes se remontan a hace más de 90 años, cuando nuestros abuelos empezaron a plantar sus primeros viñedos en el municipio de La Horra, un pequeño pueblo de la provincia de Burgos en el corazón de la Ribera del Duero. Era el principio de una vida dedicada al cuidado de sus viñas, en estos años, el vino de esta región y la base de la economía familiar. Con mucho trabajo, dedicación y sabiduría se plantan nuevos viñedos, buscando los mejores terrenos y seleccionando las mejores variedades de uva para cada viña. Poco a poco nos fuimos trasmitiendo toda la experiencia, cariño por la tierra y el respeto por la naturaleza, continuando hasta hoy en el día con esta tradición familiar.
Después de muchos años, estamos haciendo realidad el sueño de nuestros abuelos, elaborando el vino por el que tanto hemos luchado y trabajado, siguiendo en todo momento sus enseñanzas para la elaboración y el respeto por la tierra.
Todo este esfuerzo ya tiene un nombre, Viña Fuentenarro, el vino de nuestra familia de viticultores, que desde el principio apostolado por la calidad, el cuidado diario de sus propios viñedos y el completo respeto por la naturaleza
Tras muchos años de experiencia en el cuidado de la tierra en el año 2002, inauguramos las instalaciones de la bodega.
Los vinos se elaboran exclusivamente con nuestras propias uvas. Recogemos en viñedos que son propiedad de la familia durante las generaciones, consiguiendo vinos con identidad y características propias, garantizando una regularidad y calidad en nuestros vinos año tras año.
El cultivo de la uva en esta zona se remonta 2.000 años atrás y desde entonces, el vino y los viñedos han constituido partes fundamentales del desarrollo cultural y económico de la zona.
Los viñedos están orientados al sur, de pinares, encinas y robles, creando un microclima perfecto para el cultivo de la película, y la protección de los cambios de temperatura en el norte de España.
El clon de la variedad El tempranillo de nuestros viñedos, el procedimiento de cepas pre filoxéricas de Francia, el trajeron los Hermanos de la Sagrada en el año 1908, y su trabajo en los siguientes años, la plantación de nuevas cepas, las dotadas de este Magnífico clon de tempranillo. que se adaptó perfectamente a tipo de terreno ya la climatología extremos de nuestra localidad, y como origen de vinos reconocidos a nivel mundial como una de las mejores regiones en el mundo para el cultivo de la variedad tempranillo,
Todos nuestros viñedos se encuentran en el municipio de La Horra, provincia de Burgos. Los viñedos de nuestra familia tienen una edad que va desde los 23 años de antigüedad a más jóvenes, hasta los viñedos de 90 años. Con una producción limitada (3.500 Kg / Hectárea) seleccionando las mejores uvas para la elaboración de nuestros vinos.
El conjunto de todos estos elementos se describe con anterioridad, la tierra, la variedad, la climatología, y el origen de la mejor calidad para la elaboración de vinos con excelente estructura, elegancia y muy característicos del terruño.
Bodegas Lambuena is a family winery founded in 1989 by three brothers. It is located in Roa a privileged area for growing grapes for its altitude and climate, in the heart of the Denomination of Origin Ribera del Duero. It only works with its own vineyards, more than 70 hectares, with vines that are more than 100 years old, mainly of Tempranillo variety.
Bodegas Montevannos, S.L. was established in the year 1987.It is located in Sotillo de la Ribera (Burgos), a rich and generous land on the highest area of Ribera del Duero.Our vineyard estate covers approximately 300 hectares. Three fourths of the terrain was planted before 1950 with Tempranillo grape variety. Montevannos owns 33 hectares of the Tempranillo and Merlot varieties placed at over 900 metres above sea level.This particular fact,together with grounds of fertile clay and chalky soil and a soft orography, are all essential factors in the growing and ripening process of our grapes, and contribute to grant our wines a unique character and a strong personality. Our wines age in American and French oak casks in the cellars: There they reach the fullness and magnificence of the sought shades, the texture and uniqueness that define our wines. Young Reds, Robles, Crianzas and Reservas: Warm and intense, with aromas of vanilla, fruits and spices. Powerful wines yet balanced and elegant. A way of being.
Carmelo Rodero is the fourth generation of a family of growers from Pedrosa de Duero in Burgos (Ribera del Duero). His great-grandparents used to produce wine in the old and traditional winery until his grandparents founded the Cooperative of Pedrosa de Duero. Sticking to the tradition of his family, Carmelo Rodero started growing his family vineyards and after a few years he decided to stand on his own two feet growing his first 50 hectares (123.5 acres) and selling the grapes to the mythical winery Vega Sicilia during 14 years.
Being aware that a great wine is based on the quality of the grapes, Carmelo decided to bet on his future and founded Bodegas Rodero in 1990. He is particularly proud that since the first vintage in 1991, all his wines have been awarded in the most important fairs and tastings (not only in Spain but also worldwide), which acknowledges their quality.
Supported by his wife, Elena, Carmelo realizes that he was right showing enterprise, as now his daughters, Beatriz and María, very much involved in the winery, also joined him.
Beatriz, his eldest daughter, studied Agricultural Engineering in Spain (specialization in Viticulture) and Oenology at the University of Bordeaux (in France). She is now managing the technical department. There is no doubt she inherited the passion for the vines and the wine from her father.
In 2007, Eduardo Poza, a young entrepreneur with a deep love for the verdejo grape variety, starts to give shape to an ambitious project with the goal to recuperate verdejo’s truest identity. It is part of RUEDA, Denomination of Origin.

This new project is born in 2013, Íñigo López de la Osa Escribano takes over the familiar winery and starts a new project whose sole aim is to craft one of the best red wine in the whole Ribera del Duero. We are a winery grounded in tradition, nurtured by experience and designed on the basis of innovation and research.
We believe that an excellent wine can be obtained only with intense rigour and complete consistency; it takes winemaking excellence and state-of-the-art production to convey the designation of origin in the selected vine varieties. That excellence is what we are constantly seeking for.
Bodegas VIRTUS’ project is the product of several essential elements: Spanish artisan tradition, French experience and Italian good taste mingle together in each mouthful of wine.
