Tamaral

Founded in 1997

History

When Bodegas y Viñedos Tamaral was founded in April 1997, it was a dream come true for the De Santiago family, who for four generations have tended vineyards and made wine. Soon afterwards, a winery was opened in the Pago de Tablares under the watchful eye of the Museo de Vino and in the very heart of the Ribera del Duero Denomination of Origin.

Our Process

Our vineyards are pampered and cared for as they are the future of our high quality wines. We relied on soil experts to find and select the very best vineyards, the right location to protect the vines from the harsh climate of the region, enjoy the solar radiation. We own low yield, well drained vineyards where we try to find the right balance between the soil and the plant where the best fruit quality is our only aim. In doing so, we get a much better grape, rich in substances. As a result we manage to get grapes with a good alcoholic content, a great chromatic richness, poliphenols and wide aromas range.
