Virgin of the Asuncion is a winery with a long history and family tour, begins in 1957 (being one of the pioneers of the Ribera del Duero within 12 existing wineries), we are located in La Horra, which has grown vines and made wine for centuries, as evidenced by the twelfth century underground cellars that today can be visited.
Considered of very high quality because of its great and conscientious care of the mature vines, considered one of the best in this Denominación de Origen. This juice is pressed gently and fast, fermented and grown in oak barrels, to later be bottled. This way, a very pure, aromatic and natural wine with a great taste for gourmets is obtained.
Red garnet very covered with purple hues, clean and bright. The first filling in the nose is of wild berries in strawberries, raspberries, gooseberries, wrapped beautifully by notes of toasted oak, spices (vanilla, cloves, cinnamon) and hints of cocoa that gives the whole combination a pleasant feeling of complexity. The palate is well structured, voluminous and creamy, balanced acidity and round tannins. In the end comes back memories of wild fruits, spices and chocolate.
