De Alberto Winery is located in a Spanish town 25 km away from Valladolid. Embedded in an old farming house founded by the order of the Dominicans in the 17th century. Its underground galleries with its large barrel vaults made of brick have more than 1 km. length, forming a labyrinth of the Serrada underground.
The Vina Mayor winery was born in 1986 and dominates the top of the hill overlooking the winding Duero river. It is located on the road from Aranda de Duero in Valladolid, part of the Golden Mile of the Rebera del Duero region. The wines are made completely with the indigenous grape Tinta Fino.
Wines have been made in the Penafiel region, the heart of Ribera del Duero, since Roman times. The Polo family founded the Hijos de Antonio Polo winery in 1988. The 18 hectare property has vines that 15, 50, 90 and 100 years old. The predominant grape is the Tempranillo or Tinto Fino and the vines are cultivated with minimal treatments for the best possible harvests.
Ismael Arroyo began planting vineyards in Sotillo de la Ribera when other people plucked, then people were surprised and said it was crazy what he was doing. The winery has 25 hectares of vineyards, grapes are always tended to by the same winemakers at Sotillo de la Ribera. With their dedication to the work, they tend their vineyards to pick grapes of exceptional quality.
In the 1960s, José Pariente began producing artisanal white wines from a raw material of exceptional quality: Verdejo grapes from the vineyards of Rueda. He practised a meticulous viticulture and had faith in his soil, in quality and in the pleasure of making wine. His desire to produce great white wines is the raison d’être of the present-day winery, which his daughter Victoria Pariente established in 1998.
Bodega La Soterraña is the result of the ambitious project of several friends, unconditional wine lovers with years’ experience in the sector. Their passion for wine – and the Verdejo variety in particular – led them to follow a whim: to develop a Verdejo white wine within Rueda for the sole purpose of its quality and distinction. Bodega La Soterraña was established in 2006 in the town of Olmedo, a traditional region of kings and knights in Spain and quality wine growing area par excellence within the Denomination of Origin.
Legaris' first vine stock was planted in 1999. The vineyard grows the varieties of Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) and Cabernet Sauvignon. The winery is committed to high quality raw materials and viticulture: uniformity among vines, healthy plants, limited plant growth, small clusters and berries, concentration of color and aromatic precursors.
