At Familia Martinez Bujanda we were looking for exceptional vineyards in the finest white wine producing regions in Spain. In April 2008 we found Finca Montepedroso in Castilla-León. Our new vineyard in Rueda consists of 25 hectares at 750 meters above the sea level with a brand new state-of-the-art winery that produces a single wine from this single vineyard. FINCA MONTEPEDROSO, 100% VERDEJO, is the only single vineyard estate wine in Rueda. Exclusively elaborated with estate grown Verdejo grapes and aged 5 months on the lees, Finca Montepedroso is a fresh and intense wine with the best characteristics of the Verdejo variety, with the tradition typical of the area. The winery represents a contemporary project, made of concrete, glass & brick; classic materials of Rueda, and it is perfectly integrated with the countryside, and respects the environment by using the sun’s energy and recovering the rainfall.
The Torremilanos winery is located in the heart of the Ribera del Duero region near the town of Aranda. Its wine-making traditions date back to 1903. Sitting next to the mountains and with the known extremes of climate of the region, the vineyards produced well-adapted and robust fruits. In 1975, the Penalba Lopez family acquired the estate and began planting the rose tempranillo grape variety.
Villacreces covers 110 hectares and sits next to the Duero River, in the heart of the Ribera del Duero's Golden Mile. The estate is divided into 15 plots of Tinto Fino, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, and framed by century old pine trees, which contribute to both the beauty and the ecology of the vineyards. The microclimate created by the surrounding pine forest protects the estate from the worst weather conditions. Finca Villacreces is a single estate that benefits from the wide variety of soils found within it: sandy, alluvial and stony. The winery is situated at 700 metres above sea level. Its climate is one of extremes, including significant temperature variations, long winters and dry summers with low rainfall. Nevertheless, winemaking focuses on quality to produce wines with personality.
The history of Bodegas Fuentenarro has its origin 75 years ago, when our grandparents started planting their first vineyards in the municipality of La Horra, Burgos, España benefiting from the quality control of the Consejo Regulador Ribera del Duero Denominacion de Origen.
Founded in 1989, the Garci Grande Winery is built on top of old wine cellars dating back to the 14th century. The winery is located in the heart of Spain’s Rueda region, famous for the excellence of its white wines. Garci Grande currently has 120 hectares controlled under long standing agreements with many of the region’s winegrowers. This gurantees maximum grape quality as we are able to play hands-on role in the grape ripening and selection processes.
In 2001, the García Figuero Vineyard and Winery became a reality. Wine is made from grapes grown on the 80 hectares that are Estate vineyards, of which a third are old vines of over 60 years. Tinto Figuero is sold in more than 25 countries and their wines are guaranteed by the Denomination of Origin Ribera del Duero.
Jose Antonio Arévalo and Benicio Garcia founded his winery with the union of his two families “Garcia and Arévalo” in 1991, with the intention of preparing wines of the grapes proceeding from the centenary vineyards placed in the municipality of Matapozuelos, famous for producing one of the better grapes of the Verdejo variety. Garciarévalo's philosophy is to create wines that reflect the origins, the ground, the climate, combined with the wine traditions and new technologies.
Grupo Yllera was founded in 1970 and is strategically located in Valladolid-- the most exclusive wine production areas of Spain where their most emblematic wineries exist. The story began with the production of white wine, Verdejo. The Yllera family were the pioneers in the area (with the launch of the legendary Cantosan) and founding members of the Control Board of the D.O. of Rueda, the first name created in Castilla y Leon.
This wine cellar, a pioneer in Ribera del Duero, began activities in 1980, when three brothers, Benjamín, Manuel and Adolfo Pérez Pascuas, convinced of the excellent potential that lay in the vineyards owned by their father, Mauro, decided to initiate an ambitious project: to make one of the best wines in Spain and to carve a niche for it in the international marketplace. This is a family cellar which has focused on quality from its very beginnings, with much hard work and intense dedication. Currently, 500,000 bottles are produced yearly and this limited production allows for strict controls of the whole wine making process from its very beginning
